Anlo Youth Council calls for volunteers to Join committees for Hogbetsotsoza 2025

As preparations for the highly anticipated Hogbetsotsoza 2025 festival begin, the Anlo Youth Council (AYC) has issued a compelling call to action for energetic and visionary individuals to join various working committees tasked with planning and executing the festival.

In an official notice released a few days ago, the Council reiterated the importance of unity, creativity, and commitment in elevating Hogbetsotsoza as Ghana’s premier traditional celebration.

The Anlo Youth Council (AYC), the umbrella body of all Youth Associations in Anlo, which has been responsible for the organisation of the festival is inviting youth, professionals, and community-minded individuals to contribute their time, ideas, and skills to the success of the festival, which holds deep cultural and historical significance for the Anlo people and Ewe communities worldwide.

“We are calling on all who have the ideas, energy, and commitment to help establish Hogbetsotsoza as Ghana’s leading traditional festival to join our working committees, Whether you’re a creative mind, a strategic thinker, a planner, a mobiliser, or simply someone who believes in the power of unity we need you.” The statement read.

The notice outlines seven key committees participants can join, each with a clear mandate:

1. Finance & Fundraising Committee – Responsible for resource mobilization, engaging donors, and ensuring financial transparency and accountability.
2. Media & Publicity Committee – In charge of managing branding, public relations, communications, and increasing the festival’s visibility on both traditional and social media platforms.
3. Cultural Committee – Tasked with preserving the authenticity of traditional rites and rituals and working closely with chiefs and custodians of the Anlo heritage.
4. Programming & Logistics Committee – Entrusted with the design and full execution of the festival program, ensuring a smooth and impactful celebration.
5. Protocol Committee – Oversees the planning and management of invitations to dignitaries, reception logistics, and ceremonial arrangements.
6. Security Committee – Ensures public safety, crowd management, and emergency preparedness throughout the festival.
7. Business Development Committee – Aims to maximize the economic impact of the festival by promoting investment partnerships, enterprise development, and economic benefits tied to the event.
