Anloga DCE strengthens sanitation, agriculture, and emergency response efforts

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Anloga District of the Volta Region, Honourable Sandra Seyram Kpedor, has embarked on a series of strategic engagements aimed at improving sanitation, boosting agricultural development, and addressing critical emergency concerns in the district.
As part of efforts to enhance environmental cleanliness, the DCE held a high-level meeting with the management of the waste management company, Zoomlion. During the engagement, Zoomlion officials briefed the DCE on their operational activities within the district.
Madam Seyram Kpedor assured the sanitation company of her full cooperation and reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment for all residents.
In a related development, the DCE also paid a working visit to the District Office of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA).
The visit was intended to deepen collaboration between the Assembly and Agricultural Directorate, with the goal of improving agricultural productivity and livelihoods in the area towards a sustainable food security in the area.
Discussions focused on identifying new avenues for technical and logistical support to local farmers such as improved ways of irrigation, best fishing methods, and livestok rearing among others.
Meanwhile, in response to a recent emergency situation, Honourable Sandra visited the Adzato community, which was hit by a power outage following the collapse of multiple electricity poles due to heavy rainstorm over the weekend.

She was accompanied by other top level officials of the Assembly to inspect the affected sites and interacted with engineers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) from Keta and Ho who were on the ground working tirelessly to restore power to the area.
The DCE commended the swift response by the engineering teams and assured the community members of the Assembly’s continued support in addressing such challenges.
In her interactions with the media, Madam Seyram assured constituents of her continues support for their wellbeing.
“My leadership will focus on the welfare of our people, that is why we have to come and have a firsthand knowledge of work progress, I trust the engineers will restore power to our people very soon,” She said during her visit to Adzato
These initiatives reflect the Anloga District Assembly’s proactive approach under the leadership of Madam Sandra Seyram Kpedor towards governance and its resolve to improve the wellbeing of constituents through inter-agency collaboration and responsive leadership.
