The Member of Parliament for Akatsi North Constituency in the Volta Region, Mr. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, has announced the release of One Hundred and Seventy-Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC172,000) to support students from his constituency.
According to a press statement made available to Veritasnews, the funds will cover the full fees of the students for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe said that this initiative is part of his continued commitment to empowering young people through education.
Thirty-four (34) beneficiaries will benefit from Colleges of Education while seventeen (17) students at Schools of Hygiene will also benefit
The MP further disclosed that students enrolled in Nursing Training Colleges and other tertiary institutions would benefit from the next tranche of disbursements.
Mr. Nortsu-Kotoe is widely recognized for his consistent educational support in the Akatsi North Constituency. This latest initiative reinforces his dedication to reducing the financial burden on students and their families, thereby promoting educational advancement in the area.
