Volta Region: vetting timetable for Municipal and District Chief Executive aspirants announced
Ho, Ghana (18-01-2025)– The Volta Regional secretariat of the National Democratic Congress has officially announced the vetting schedule for the various aspirants vying for Municipal and District Chief Executive positions in the Region.
The process is supposed to be held at the Regional capital, specifically the Conference Room of the Residency, beginning Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and ending Monday, January 27, 2025.

Tuesday, January 21, 2025

- Constituencies: Hohoe, Kpando, Afadzato South
Wednesday, January 22, 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Constituency: North Tongu
Thursday, January 23, 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Constituencies: Central Tongu, South Tongu
Friday, January 24, 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Constituencies: Anlo, Keta, Akatsi North
Saturday, January 25, 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Constituencies: Ketu South, Ketu North, Akatsi South
Sunday, January 26, 2025
- Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Constituencies: North Dayi, South Dayi, Ho West

The vetting process is expected to ensure that qualified candidates with the appropriate expertise are selected to lead the development efforts in the various municipal and district assemblies in the region.
Mr Kafui Agbleze, the regional communication Director of the NDC, urged aspirants to adhere to the scheduled timelines for their respective constituencies.
A total of 286 aspirants have filled their applications from across the eighteen (18) Municipal and Districts in the Region with North Tongu recording the highest number of applicants of about 40 with Akatsi North recording the least of 4 aspirants.
A nine-member vetting committee will be responsible for the seven days exercise which will aim at qualifying three aspirants from each District which will be presented to the Presidency, for which President John Mahama will eventually nominate one of them to be voted for by the Assembly members
