
Ghana’s Ambassador to Hungary, Dr Kwame Ampofo, has strengthened support for school sports development by presenting new branded jerseys to athletes representing the South Dayi District at the ongoing 55th Volta Regional Basic Schools Sports and Games Festival.
The support, delivered through his “Budapest Impact” initiative, saw every South Dayi athlete receive a new green-and-orange jersey ahead of and during the week-long competition being hosted at Akatsi Senior High Technical School in the Akatsi South District.
The initiative, according to Dr Ampofo, is aimed at boosting the athletes’ morale, giving the district’s contingent a unified identity and demonstrating support for young talents competing at the games

The 55th Regional Sports and Games Festival has brought together schoolchildren from all 18 districts of the Volta Region, providing a platform for young athletes to compete, develop their talents and gain valuable sporting experience.
Receiving the kits, Coaches and contingents of the South Dayi team expressed gratitude to Ambassador Ampofo, describing the gesture as a timely morale booster and a demonstration of confidence in their abilities.

The support also forms part of Dr Ampofo’s support towards youth empowerment and sports development, with the “Budapest Impact” initiative seeking to contribute to the development and wellbeing of young people through targeted interventions.
