First 10 Beneficiaries of Volta Youth Development Fund Receive Significant Support

Ho (Volta Region). — July 24 2026
The first batch of 10 beneficiaries of the Volta Youth Development Fund has received significant financial support under the flagship youth empowerment initiative established to promote entrepreneurship and tackle youth unemployment across the Volta Region.
Each beneficiary received a cheque for GH¢10,000, presented by the Volta Regional Minister, Mr James Gunu, who is also the founder of the Fund.
The Volta Youth Development Fund, launched on March 7, 2026, was established to provide young entrepreneurs with financial assistance, mentorship, and opportunities to build sustainable businesses, create jobs, and contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the Volta Region.
Mr Gunu commended the Fund’s Board Chairman, Togbe Komla Sakpiti V, and the Fund Administrator, Mr Stephen D. K. Timinca, for their dedication and commitment to the successful implementation of the initiative.

He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to use the financial support responsibly to grow their businesses and become ambassadors of the Fund by creating opportunities for other young people across the region and beyond.
Mr Gunu expressed the hope that the beneficiaries’ success stories would inspire many more young people to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-reliance, job creation, and economic growth.
He further appealed to corporate organisations, development partners, philanthropists, and other well-meaning individuals to partner with the Volta Youth Development Fund to expand its reach, enabling it to support more young entrepreneurs and accelerate the socio-economic development of the Volta Region through youth empowerment.
