CAS Sets Date to Hear 2025 AFCON Title Dispute Between Senegal and Morocco

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has officially announced that it will hold a hearing on October 8, 2026, regarding Senegal’s appeal over the controversial 2025 AFCON Title Dispute between Senegala and Morocco
The case is between the Senegalese Football Federation, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation over the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.

The case follows a CAF decision that declared Senegal to have forfeited the tournament and awarded the title to Morocco.
A ruling contested by the Senegalese Football Federation.
The proceedings will be conducted behind closed doors in line with standard CAS procedures. Following the hearing, a CAS panel will deliberate before issuing its final decision on the matter.
