Shugah Mawuli Anthonio, The Assemblymember for Tegbi Afedome electoral area has partnered with other natives of Tegbi in the Anloga District to donate some working tools towards sanitation along the coast.
Working tools such as rakes, spades standing brooms, and others were donated over the weekend to the various beach committees including, the Tegbi Landing Beach Enforcement Committee (LBEC) and chief fishermen in the area.
Mr Anthonio said that the support was aimed at making sure the beaches are always clean for smooth patronage of both local and foreign tourists.
“The golden sand beach is an important asset to us and it must be handled with care, so the initiative is to protect its importance and integrity, The sand is a major tourist asset we have, so during my regime, I shall empower the various groups at the beach to always keep it clean to promote proper sanitation and good health and at the beach,”
Mr. Anthonio promised to embark on other initiatives towards same course.
Chief fisherman, Wordi Agboado, who received the items thanked the donors and promised to utilize them for their intended purpose.
A total of 25 Items were donated including 20 standing brooms, 20 rakes, and 5 spades were given to the Afedome electoral area awaiting other donations in the coming days to Ashiata and Agbedrafor electoral areas.
