AGBOZUME – Philanthropist and community leader Mr. Felix Akonta Akakpo (Torgbui Tenuvi III) has extended humanitarian support to some flood victims in Agbozume, providing essential relief items to residents whose lives were disrupted by the recent devastating floods in parts of the country.
The intervention, which reached out to 275 residents followed the successful distribution of relief supplies to victims at the Aflao Market, formed part of Mr. Akakpo’s continued commitment to supporting vulnerable communities affected by natural disasters.
The donation exercise was led by Mr. Dynamic Akakpo on behalf of Mr. Felix Akonta Akakpo.
He was joined by personnel from the Ketu South National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), who worked together to distribute the items to beneficiaries at a ceremony held at the forecourt of Torgbui Hor’s Palace.

Reflecting on the recurring flooding incidents across the country, Mr. Akakpo called for more decisive action to address the root causes of the problem, stressing that many flood-related disasters could be prevented through proper planning and enforcement of existing regulations.
“Flooding remains a national challenge, many aspects of which are preventable. Building on waterways must be a nonstarter. Local assemblies must act decisively to redeem public confidence and give the people hope for a better future. We must all commit to pragmatic, lasting solutions,” he stated.
He also extended his sympathy to all individuals and families affected by the recent floods across Ghana, particularly those who lost loved ones.
“My solidarity is with everyone affected by the recent devastating floods, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to families who lost loved ones across the country during this disaster. It is well.”
The latest intervention adds to Mr. Akakpo’s growing humanitarian efforts in the Ketu South Municipality, reinforcing calls for greater collaboration between public institutions, local authorities, and private individuals in responding to disasters while pursuing long-term measures to reduce the impact of flooding on vulnerable communities.
